Telstra has approved Mango for Windows Phone
In what is great news for Windows Phone user in Australia Telstra has just posted that they have approved Mango for release. The process is now over to Microsoft to deliver the update to the phones which in the past has taken about 5 working days.
Just a reminder to anyone that has Mango pre-release on you phone that you need to downgrade back to NODO to get the final version of Mango.

I’m glad… But why must you guys ‘approve’ these at all? Why not just let people get the updates as soon as they’re out, as with the iPhone etc???
I feel like this is holding the phones back a bit in Australia because we may buy a handset and NEVER be allowed to upgrade it for unknown reasons!

I agree… however the process is that the Hardware Vendors and the Phone Carriers need to approved the update before Microsoft will push it out… I can see why the hardware vendors are involved but i dont understand why the Phone Carriers are seeing they dont approve the update for the Mango Developer ROM upgrade…
