Hi, I did this with my HTC HD7, and now that I need to talk with the supplier about another issue, they say that my warranty is voided because I forced the update. To me, this is utter bull. What do others think?

I updated my (non-branded, unlocked etc) HD7 and got both updates (tethering and Exchange). Problem is now, when I’m at home, the phone prefers to use mobile data over WiFi, which it certainly didn’t do before! Anyone else notice this? My gf has a Mozart, but I haven’t checked hers for this problem yet.

This isn’t the 7740 Update, this is ONLY a HTC Firmware update that bring tethering. 7740 is a seperate Windows Phone OS update that fixes a voicemail and Exchange bug. Telstra has NOT released that yet…
